Our farmland and rural areas are some of Knox County's most precious resources. They are part of our heritage, support our agricultural community, and they makes Knox County so special. We must cherish it, protect it, and preserve it for future generations.

I value our farms, forests, and rural areas. They make Knox County different than Nashville or Atlanta and are part of why I make Knox County my home.

The drastic changes in the updated UDO Draft 2 Map, and changes to the Rural Residential (RR) zone, vest additional development rights to tens of thousands of acres in Knox County. It makes farm and rural land more attractive for development at low density. Unfortunately, we know that low density development is not fiscally responsible and make our county's tight budget even tighter.

This is a draft, and you can change it. Please support what was proposed in the Draft1 map. I liked all the Agricultural Rural and Rural Preservation zoning in around the county, and I'm fine being zoned that if my neighbor is also zoned like that. I also do not support the revision proposed to the Rural Residential zone that makes this zoning attractive to develop.

Thank you for your attention to my email.
