There are two public hearings on the proposed Growth Policy Plan changes - both at 5PM in the Main Assembly Room of the City-County Building (400 Main Street).

Sign Up - You should sign up with the county staff beforehand by emailing gpp@advanceknox.org. There will also be a sign-up sheet available at the meeting.
Please let KCPA know you're speaking - fill out this very short form. That way we can contact you about any late-breaking developments, talking points, etc.
Prepare your Remarks
Speakers have previously been given three (3) minutes but the chair may change that.
Open your address with your name, county of residence. If you're representing an organization or neighborhood, state that and how many people / homes you are representing.
Be polite but firm. Make sure everything you do say is factual, not hearsay.
Be sure to state what you support, and what you would like to change.
Parking - recommended parking is the Main Street Garage at 550 W Main Street (entrances on Hill Ave and Locust St). $1/hour, easy walk to the building along Main St, and if you leave after 7PM the parking will be free (attendants are done and gates are up)
Before the meeting, you may approach the chair or staff to confirm that they have you signed up to speak at the Public Hearing.
When your name is called, go to the podium. Adjust the mic so it is pointed straight at your mouth to ensure you are clearly heard.
